The sewing school shares an outdoor kitchen with the church. There is no cafeteria or bag lunches or vending machines. Just beyond this building are the enclosed pit latrines.


         This corn and bean dish is a staple of Kenyan boarding schools.

                 Inside the round houses big cauldrons of beans and corn simmer for hours. Tea time is always an important time of day for Kenyans. Kenya is a former British Empire. Abossi is located near the tea highlands that form the back bone of the Western Kenyan ecomomy.
